Physical Layout of Our Facility
Our nicely maintained facility is contained on one floor for the convenience of the resident who might have difficulty going up and down stairs.
The large bedrooms, which are all private, have their own full bathroom.
The dining area, where residents gather for their meals, is spacious, bright and sunny.
The large recreation room is visited often by the residents and their families, where they can catch up on the news of yesterdays.
Activities at the Home
From our back deck the residents watch the deer come out to play and feed. The birds feeding off the deck and the wildlife always make the start of a new day delightful.
For residents who like to be out of doors, we have a vegetable garden that they can putter around in, and watch the veggies come up and grow to maturity.
Bingo is the activity that residents look forward to on Wednesdays. On Fridays, it’s the famous sing-a-longs of the oldies but goodies.
Services Provided
Three nutritious and well-balanced meals are prepared in our kitchen and served to the residents by the home staff. Ongoing care is taken for those residents who have special dietary needs.
Snacks are offered between each meal and before bed time.
Other services include housekeeping and laundry, which is done by the staff daily.
Personal services are done according to resident needs.
Transportation to professional appointments (doctors, dentist, etc.) is provided by the McCoy Home.
Supervision of Daily Living
Our qualified staff is on duty and available 24 hours a day to supervise the taking of medication, personal hygiene, dietary needs and making appointments.
Our full-time administrator (Nancy McCoy) oversees the day-to-day operation of the McCoy Home for the Elderly. She can be reached at all times for consultation either at the facility or at her home in Cornish, NH. (603) 543-3748.
